Our Story
How It Started
Salkreation was founded in 2010 by Salim Kapasi in Kitchener, Ontario, with a straightforward thesis: small businesses deserve the same quality of technology that large enterprises take for granted. After years of delivering projects at Canada's biggest banks and telecom companies, Salim Kapasi saw firsthand how transformative good technology could be — and how inaccessible it was for smaller organizations. Salkreation was built to close that gap.
How We Grew
Over the next decade, the firm expanded from solo consulting engagements into full-cycle software delivery. We added expertise in change management, accessibility compliance, and SaaS product development. Our team grew to include professionals who'd cut their teeth at TD Bank, RBC, Rogers, and other major Canadian organizations — people who understood how to build technology at scale and wanted to apply those skills where they could make the biggest impact.
Where We Are Today
Today, Salkreation is a full-service IT consulting firm with a growing portfolio of our own software products. We serve SMBs across the Greater Toronto Area, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Southern Ontario, helping them replace outdated systems, launch new digital products, and build the operational infrastructure they need to scale. We're big enough to handle serious projects and small enough that our founder still answers the phone.

Founded
Salim Kapasi founded Salkreation IT Consulting Inc. in Kitchener, Ontario, focusing on IT strategy and project delivery for local SMBs.
2013
Custom Software Expansion
Expands into custom software development, delivering first full-cycle web application for a multi-location retail client.
2016
Change Management Practice
Adds change management consulting to the practice; Sonia Kapasi joins as Principal Change Management Consultant.
2019
AODA Accessibility Services
Launches AODA accessibility auditing services as compliance deadlines approach for Ontario businesses.
2022
SaaS Products
Begins development of proprietary SaaS products (InvestiIQ, PowrHQ) to complement client services.
2024
Team Expansion
Team expands with associate consultants and marketing leadership; new website launched at https://salkreation.ca.
