Accessibility Auditing (AODA/WCAG)

Comprehensive WCAG 2.1 and AODA compliance auditing — automated testing, manual expert review, and actionable remediation plans that your development team can actually execute.

Accessibility as a Standard, Not a Checkbox

Digital accessibility is both a legal obligation and a quality standard. Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) requires organizations with 50 or more employees to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA requirements under the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation. For many organizations, that compliance obligation is overdue — and the gap between where their digital properties are today and where they need to be is not well understood.

Salkreation provides systematic accessibility auditing that goes beyond what automated tools can detect. Automated scanners — even the best ones — identify only a fraction of real accessibility barriers. Colour contrast ratios, missing alt text, and duplicate IDs are detectable programmatically, but the experience of navigating a complex web application with a screen reader, completing a form using only a keyboard, or understanding dynamic content through a cognitive accessibility lens requires human expertise. Our auditors conduct both automated and manual testing on every engagement.

Our lead consultant, Salim Kapasi, holds the title of Founder & Principal IT Consultant and brings direct experience with accessibility compliance across enterprise digital products in the financial services sector. This background informs an audit methodology that is practical and remediation-focused — not a list of abstract violations, but a prioritized set of actionable fixes with clear developer guidance and visual examples.

For organizations that need staff capability to maintain accessibility over time, we offer training programs for development teams, content authors, and product managers — covering the principles, tools, and workflows that keep new content and features accessible after the initial audit is resolved.
